Job Description	Our client who is a major Financial Organisation is currently recruiting for an Analyst Programmer to work in their Edinburgh Office. The Main duties include: • Development & maintenance of software, adhering to RL development standards. • Analysis of business requirements and technical design for enhancement/build of internal systems. • Production of relevant documentation in accordance with RL development standards. • Structured unit testing of software in line with RL testing standards. • Implementation of quality software, ensuring business readiness. • Impact analysis for complex change requests and new projects. Essential Experience: • Strong commercial experience of working within an applications development environment. • Experience of the full software development lifecycle • Commercial experience in - J2EE, Unit testing frameworks (e.g. JUnit, JWebUnit, Selenium), Open source frameworks (e.g. Struts, Hibernate, log4j), XML technologies (XPath, XSL, XSD) Oracle, AJAX, JBoss, Eclipse, CVS, Subversion, MQ, Solaris, scripting languages • Experience of low-level software design with a good knowledge of UML, modelling tools and Design Patterns • Excellent problem solving and decision making skills • Understanding of financial business systems • Excellent communication skills • Ability to work using different methodologies (End2End, Agile-like, Waterfall) • Ability to cope with high-levels of pressure, involving high profile projects • Ability to develop good relationships within the projects division and the business and with our partners It is desirable that applicants have: • Computer Science Degree (or equivalent) • Financial Services Business Experience • Sun Java Certification If you are interested could you please send an up to date CV to myself detailing your previous experience.
