Position: Project Manager
Location: Edinburgh
Key Responsibilities for the role of Project Manager:
The role is to manage the delivery of all business change impacting the Operating model. Governing all deliveries in the multi client environment we ensure all change is delivered against strategic, regulatory and client driven priorities whilst minimising the impact on the BAU departments.
You will support the largest external clients and their significant programme of change primarily focusing on their strategy for 2010 and beyond.
Key skills required for the role of Project Manager:
The successful candidate should have a significant amount of industry experience within Financial Markets.
Knowledge of a broad range of products and various asset types would be beneficial.
Previous project involvement is essential.
Applicants should be numerate, computer literate with the ability to understand new systems quickly.
A proven project manager or lead analyst (with industry recognised qualifications in this area where possible).
Strong communicator able to liaise confidently with BAU supervisors, senior Managers and client contacts.
A confident decision-maker with the ability to weigh up all potential options prior to making decisions.
A methodical and logical approach to the job is beneficial.
Accuracy and completeness are essential to the success of each project.
Experience using Microsoft project and visio (or other similar drawing tools) would also benefit the successful candidate.
Previous involvement in a Change or project environment with experience in detailed business and process analysis plus project management experience would be essential.
The successful candidate will have good interpersonal skills. Good man-management skills would also be a distinct advantage, and an analytical approach to the role is required.
The centralised Change Management area is part of the Operational Change and Support department.
