Description:
Our client, a leading supplier to the automotive industry is at a busy period and looking to recruitment a Quality Manager in their manufacturing facilities in East Lancashire
This is an exciting opportunity to work within a very successful company within the automotive industry who offer a competitive salary and an excellent working environment.
Responsibilities:
1.The quality manager is responsible of securing, and implementing Group quality - guidelines, regulations and procedures in the plant and ensuring compliance with the TS:statistical process control (SPC), TS16949, IS09001, 2008 for the automotive industry.
2.Coordinating, and supervising the work of the quality department (QM engineers, QM technicians, Quality supply chain management etc.);
3.Securing the desired incoming goods quality for the plant;
4.Recommending, and implanting quality improvements (quality improvement projects), and solving quality problems;
5.Continuous improvement of the quality system, and making its usage effective;
6.Making quality reports, and evaluating them (corrective actions);
7.Exploring human resource needs, and coordinating them for the specific tasks. If extra resources needed, forwarding the needs to the Plant Manager;
8.Working out the quality plans, and documents (like control plans, PFMEA's etc.) for new and existing projects, and products;
9.Using and maintaining the Quality documentation of the products (supplier documentations, audits, working instruction, change management etc.);
10.Making internal audits for each department;
11.Supporting external audits for the supplier, or managing it;
12.Releasing hold materials, initiating sorting actions, or sending them back to the suppliers;
13.Setting the standards of the QM premium systems for the employees;
14.Responsible for handling suppliers rejections;
Person Specification
The ideal candidate will have previous experience within the automotive or plastics industry in a Senior Quality Role. Recruitment Zone acting as an employment agency in regard to this advert.
